The World is Like an Ocean
A light appeared on the rolling waves late in the night,
The light grew till it blinded our eyes and made them water,
Marveled at this spectacle a voice broke through the waves,
It spoke like the winds off the ocean in a soft, crashing whisper,
"I know my physical form is gone, but I'm here in spirit,
Know that no matter what I remain in your memories with you,
In your heart I will live with you all."
The light vanished as quickly as it came with sudden darkness,
In awe we sat at the dark ocean's white wave peaks,
The light like life, there and gone within a flash,
But a voice that lingers in our memory and hearts forever,
